We are a Dulwich Hill based accountancy practice providing expert accounting, taxation, and business advisory services.


Whether it be a basic tax return, or more complex taxation advice, our expert team has it under control.

Strategic tax planning is a must for any business – big or small, and because no two businesses are the same, each client is actively serviced and specially advised before the end of each financial year to ensure that the viable possibilities to legally reduce tax liabilities are always explored in a diligent and timely fashion. We don’t just report on your position after the fact; we do what we can to strengthen your position before the fact.

Tannous Francis JP

Principal, Registered Tax Agent, Fellow of the Institute of Public Accounts and Member of the National Tax and Accountants Association

Tannous first opened the doors to this practice back in 1991, after gaining significant work experience at numerous local accounting firms. It was his drive an determination that quickly saw the expansion of this client base and the growth of the business into what it is today.

Tannous is a registered tax agent, accredited member of the National Tax and Accountants Association (NTAA), and a Fellow at the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). He is your small-to-medium size business tax specialist, having looked after local and national businesses for more than 20 years. Tannous is exceptionally thorough in his work, his knowledge is vast and his experience unparalleled.

In his spare time, Tannous likes to read and keep educated on local and international affairs.

Helen Francis Sara JP

Bachelor of Commerce – Professional Accounting (Macq) and Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)

Helen began her career as a tax accountant after graduating from Macquarie University in 2012, but has been part of the TY Francis team since 2008. She has since gained her CPA accreditation and is working toward attainment of her tax agent licence and other supporting qualifications.

Her specialties include individual and small business income tax, GST reporting and other related matters.

She is also an accredited XERO specialist advisor, and fluent in other cloud based accounting programs such as MYOB and QuickBooks.

Helen enjoys binge watching her favourite TV shows – currently, “community” -, getting into the outdoors and spending time with her husband and their pet kitten, Archer.

Our personal tax services include:

  • Investment Property Schedule preparation and Negative Gearing advice
  • Depreciation worksheets for work related expenses and/or investment properties
  • Capital Gain/Loss Schedule advice, calculation and preparation
  • Accounting for Sole Trader business operations and preparation of business schedule
  • Foreign income guidance and advice

We have designed a check-list that we think will help you to gather and organise your financial year paperwork before you make an appointment to come in and see us.

*Basic tax returns are those with just one payment summary and work related expenses <$300.

We like to be as transparent as possible with our charges. Please see below for the most commonly charged returns:

Standard tax returns are charged at $121.00 inc GST each.
Standard Tax Returns are those that involve payment summary/s from employers and work related expenses <$1,500. Standard tax returns do not involve business income, investment properties, capital gains tax calculations or foreign income.

Standard tax returns, with one investment property are charged at between $198.00 - $242.00 inc GST each, depending on time and complexity. An additional $99.00 inc GST will apply for each additional property after the first.

Business Tax Returns (sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts) are charged on a per hour basis, at $253.00 (inc GST) per hour, or part thereof.

We also frequently provide a range of income tax services to our Australian resident clients who live and/or work abroad, as they are also required to meet specific obligations under Australian taxation law.


Our business tax services include:

  • Preparation of your Partnership, Company or Trust Tax Return
  • GST Support: Business Activity Statement (BAS) and/or Instalment Activity Statement (IAS) preparation
  • Tax planning and wealth maximisation
  • Accounting systems & business structure advice and direction
  • New business setup including Australian Business Number (ABN), GST and PAYG withholding registration
  • Advice on new business structure or existing business restructure

Payroll and Employer Advice

While hiring employees can relieve you from day to day business operations, it can also mean a hefty amount of additional administration and compliance. We can help you manage your entire payroll operation by overseeing processing and payment of your employees, issuing payslips, calculation and reporting of PAYG withholding to the ATO and preparation of end of year payment summaries.

Furthermore, we can also look after the management of your superannuation compliance, including quarterly reporting and payments.
